I thought I’d give Nesbø a whirl as I haven’t ever read any of his books. REALLY not my type of thing but honestly it did turn out better than I expected. The prose and the translation is a little weird at points and most of the book is not for me, but I will give him this - the man writes a tight plot. Everything landed where it should and everything tied into itself - sometimes to the point where it stretched believability but it was a VERY neat and thought-out piece of plotting.

Discovered after finishing that this is a sequel to The Kingdom which I will now not read because this book is one big spoiler. I don't like any of the characters; perhaps I would have if I'd read the first book and backstory, but I just wanted someone to push Carl down a flight of stairs

This book did not have sauce, I hate all of these people, did not spark joy. Also why did we keep telling me what happened in book 1? I read that book?
