Rating on vibes alone and the emotions this pulled out of me? 5 stars. Loved the explorations of grief, the experience of being a second-generation Asian-American, and the way that the author didn’t take the easy way out or give us a simple, uncomplicated HEA. More to say in a full review soon.

I really enjoyed this book and found it to be a very quick and engaging read but at times I found the premise far fetched. It grapples with some serious conflict, especially between Helen and her family, that never really gets a satisfying resolution. They’re just fine with everything now?
