Really loved the into to this book. I chuckled and was having a good time but Chapter one with her mother made me kind of angry and then chapter 2 about he friendships kind of bored me to tears. It isn't enough about polyamory. More so about her life in general and she's not very engaging unfortunately. Also the illustrations feels so small on my kindle. I have to put my face so close to the screen to decipher what is going on. I hate it.

This was a beautiful and fascinating book about love in its many many forms and the author’s experience of polyamory. It was honest and vulnerable, and challenged me to consider my own notions of love and relationships.

The title is perfect. The book is indeed about many love; love's many forms. Love is not just the hollywood arc of finding The One. Significant relationships take many forms, including deep friendships. The book was both informative and beautiful, and held a lot of truth.

I really liked this book. It was goofy, silly, and informative. I bought it because I was interested in reading more books about / surrounding polyamory. I LOVE that this was a memoir and getting to kind of see this one author's relationship to polyamory. I also didn't expect the illustrations to be such a big part of the narrative! It was fun. A really fun read.

Second time reading this, a little over 2 years later. I'm so grateful I happened upon this book, which resonated with me so much that I really credit it with opening my eyes to the possibilities, and then making some huge lifestyle changes--one being opening up to close friend(s) about my deep and complicated feelings for them, with one of those very close friends coming right out and saying "You know, poly is a thing you could be."

OH BOY IS IT.

I can relate so much to the author's winding road to polyamory, her confused feelings around friendship and relationships, her deep connections to close female friends.

I dunno, I have no real points to even try to get across, other than--WE NEED MORE BOOKS LIKE THIS. It's a remarkably honest and raw look at interpersonal relationships and bonds even apart from the non-monogamy aspects.

Plus, a really quick read! (I really wish my mom would just...read it already!)

This was simply amazing. Not your run-of-the-mill memoir. Reading Sophie's words felt like having a conversation with a friend. She's deeply real, about the ups and downs and in-betweens of her life and the vulnerability is so admirable! I was shedding a couple tears by the end of this, such a heartfelt and honest portrait of her journey in polyamory. I felt like I gained so much perspective from this, about how polyamory isn't necessarily about having lots of romantic love in your life, but simply allowing there to be as much love in your life as possible, whether that's platonic, romantic, familial, anything! Let love in. <3 This book was perfection!

As a person who isn’t sure if polyamory is for them, this book is a loving, hilarious, and vulnerable look into relationships different than mine. I appreciate Sophie’s candid story telling and honesty about the triumphs, troubles, and heartbreak. An excellent book with lessons to be learned and applied to any relationship dynamic.

I wasn't sure what I was going to get from this book seeing as how I am in a monogamous relationship and not particularly interested in a polyamorous one. From the beginning, Sophie does a great job at setting up clear definitions for the reader to follow. Her question-answer is extremely easy to follow and gives direct answers to any lingering questions that the reader may have before even reading the text. In this way, she approaches some already preconceived biases that the reader may have and she sets them straight. I was surprised to find as much data woven throughout the book as there was and I found it very helpful. The first half of the book is more focused on her friendships with women and how she then reevaluated what love meant in her life. That's the part that really stuck with me. I don't necessarily prioritize romantic love over platonic, but I do treat it differently. And this book has helped me in being critical in evaluating what types of love exist in my life and how I sustain these relationships. Since the Luke character in the story is my boss, I was really invested in that relationship and found it super cute.
