I really enjoyed the first book in this series so i couldn't wait to get my hands on part two. I'm not sure I enjoyed it quite as much. I'm not sure I can put my finger why. Maybe I need to process it a bit more. I think because most of the first half takes us to the same placed as the first. I longed for some new scenery. The second half did pick up speed for me and i coldn't wait to see how it ends. I do not regret buying this book.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Having been a fan of the first book, I was looking forward to this one. I sprung at the chance to read it, and I was not disappointed.

It had been a little while since I had read the Island of Sleeping Kings, and I was a bit worried I would have forgotten characters. Although this one jumped into the story shortly after the end of book 1, it does so in a way where it makes it easy to keep up with the story. It was as if there wasn't a break between reading. I love when that happens in a series!

There's enough action to keep you on your toes and clinging to the book, and Vanora is still my favorite.

Highly recommend it! Great read.
