This is a collection of short stories by the author of The Time Traveller's Wife. About half of the stories are in graphic novel format and the rest are prose with illustrations. The illustrations are done by the author's husband. It was an interesting collection, some stories were definitely stronger than others.

Don’t be quirky, we all know this is shit, the story’s make absolutely no sense, random ass titles , some (correction:most) of them aren’t even about romance.
This woman took acid, wrote whatever random shite came to her, got sober, realised how bad it was yet still published! Oh, and her husband made some ugly art to go along with it. I can do better.
Enough is enough people. These two need to find a better hobby, using marital status to publish WAAAAAAYYYYY below average work is pathetic. I would rather read a book written by a liberal woman named Onyx on how to spiritually connect with my cervix. (My Cervix and Me, copyright)

Every single story in this anthology is amazing. These 150+ pages took me on a roller coaster of emotions and left me thoroughly satisfied. I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC of this book.

'Bizarre Romance' with stories by Audrey Niffenegger and art by Eddie Campbell is a collection of short stories about love of all kinds.

There is a mix of stories in this collection. Some are in graphic novel format, some are words with spare illustrations. The stories include things like a man who lives with a fairy, and learns how mundane that can be. A woman exhumes her dead cat when her parents are about to sell their house.

The whole collection feels pretty average. None of the stories or illustrations really stood out to me. I liked the idea of the stories more than the execution, to be honest.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Abrams and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

I really liked this collection! It’s quirky and fun in both the writing and art styles, each story just long enough to capture the interest and keep you wondering what you’ll find in the next one. All the stories follow love in some way, the start, the end, the aftermath, or the middle.

If you like realistic romantic portrayals and/or interesting graphic novels, this one’s for you.

My four favorite stories, in no particular order, are: Thursdays, Six to Eight p.m.; Backwards in Seville; At the Movies; Motion Studies: Getting out of Bed! If you’ve read this darling collection, I’d love to know your favorite of the thirteen in the comments below this review!

Short story collections are always hard for me to review. I did enjoy this one more than I have enjoyed others. Not all of them were related to romance but they were all related to love of some kind, and when I say related that could be related in a bad way.

There were a couple of stories in this that were really enjoyable but overall I don't think it's a book that I need to own and I'm glad I checked it out from the library.

I enjoyed these vignettes, as well as the art. Charming and weird, just what I was looking for.
