it was a great introductory book to feminist literature. It acknowledged at the start of the book that it is not a bible for feminism. It is a collection of varying quality short stories and articles. Kiera Knightley’s really took me by surprise and I couldn’t help but let a few tears fall. The repetition of ‘the weaker sex’ and ‘soft motherhood’ was deeply moving in an unexpectedly empowering way

This book taught me so much not just about feminism and others women's experiences but it promotes me to ask myself questions too. I loved the diversity within this book. We are far too used to seeing white washed feminism but I thoroughly appreciated the diversity of the women involved on this project. This book also talks about the cross over areas and feminism in specific community whether it is the Muslim community, LGBTQ+ community or feminism within the Black Lives Matter movement. Highly recommend.

I would recommend this book to anyone, whether they think of themselves as a feminist already or not. It's honestly, it's informative, it's entertaining... I loved hearing about the experiences of a whole range of women who I found I could relate to and who give me hope for the future of the feminist movement. I also really enjoyed the inclusivity of this book. It's about all women, not just white british or american women, like many feminist books often are. And I also learned a lot about the history of feminism and what has and is going on in the world. Please read, you won't regret it!
