Started out as something I thought was too feminist 101 for where I'm at in my own journey, but there are so many great short pieces in here and, although this unavoidably means they're variable in quality with me liking some much less than others, I did really enjoy having so many different perspectives in one place. I loved the ride through the whole book and particularly loved the last sections on action and education. Insightful and a necessary call to arms!

So this will be a short review, I read this after I had spotted it on the shelves whilst book shopping, I thought it would be a perfect fit to my tbr of witchcraft style books sd the general theme of these witchy books was female empowerment and female strength.
I've always been one the fence with Feminism, never really knowing what I believe or where I would start if I wanted to get into that. However, whilst reading my witchy books and seeing these strong female women overcoming the patriachy and so on, it spurred me to research into feminism. Which draws me to this book, it is a collection of essay's from famous female figures from across the globe. There were a fair few names on this list of essays that I recognised so I just had to read it.
I went into this with an open mind, there was a lot of information in this book, a few bits I was a bit iffy about but majority I could see the reasoning behind it. I tabbed a lot of quotes from this book that resonates with me too, things I could ge tbehind, things that are relevant to me. This book has definitely changed my view on feminism and it's definitely spurred me to read more into feminism and get involved.

"And this is when I realise that perhaps feminism isn't about being morally pure or well-liked, and is more about doing the damn thing. Maybe it's about being a woman in her truth, fighting for her cause, her dreams, her vision and doing exactly what she sees fit."

I loved this. My copy is now dog-eared and the spine is broken where I’ve highlighted chunks of text.
I feel empowered and motivated. My only criticism is that some of the essays are frustratingly short. I appreciate the references and further reading suggested.
