I’m giving this a good 3.5 stars, as I was wavering between 3 and 4 throughout reading it. Some of the essays were truly enlightening, while others were kind of common sense? Maybe I went into this book already knowing more about the feminist movement than the writers anticipated, but I’d definitely recommend this to people who are trying to figure out what exactly feminism is, and what it’s fighting for

I’ve been reading this book for longer than I’d like to admit… I don’t want to seem like a “bad feminist” for not loving this collection of essays. I have some favourite paragraphs and some which I’ll never read again. Some of my fave are…
•The five stages of feminism by Scarlett Curtis
•My feminism by Saoirse Ronan
•The catastrophizer’s alphabet by Kat Dennings
•Imposter syndrome by Alaa Murabit
•Feminism, my vulva and me by Liv Little
•10 ways to support the women in your life by Olivia Perez
•Feminist comebacks by Scarlett Curtis
•Woke woman by Gemma Arterton
•Stuff your pockets by Beanie Feldstein
•Be a fun feminist by Nimco Ali
•Our shared shelf by Emma Watson
•What happens next… by Scarlet Curtis

When I first read this book, as a young girl, it instantly became one of my favourite books. Even now, I still love it- and here's why. I understand what other people mean when they say that this book seems to be targeted at young women, which I think is true. But I don't think it makes it any less enjoyable for any other readers, don't dismiss it merely due to that. This book is so unapologetically itself, there are elements that will shock you, parts that will make you laugh, parts will make you angry and aspects will cause you to really rethink how you treat other women and how you yourself are treated. I am thankful for this book as it has allowed me to realise the ingrained sexism within myself, and therefore I can start the process of undoing what I've been taught. You will learn so many things from this book and aspects of it are serious, but at the same time, it can be an enjoyable read to dip in and out of when you please. The fact that each of the women has interpreted the question in so many different ways and forms is not only interesting but quite beautiful. I don't think it's essential feminist reading by any means, but it's an enjoyable book and I really recommend for anyone who is interested in Feminism.
A fabulous collection of essays with a wide range of perspectives. Personal favourites included:
Lolly Adefope
Charlie Craggs
Helen Fielding (Bridget Jones’ feminism today diary)
Jameela Jamil
Keira Knightly
Nimco Ali
Scarlett Curtis (specifically Baker Miller Pink)
Alice Wroe
I have learnt so much from this book but there’s still a long way to go.
