Short quick listen! I I really enjoyed telling the story backwards from Chuck’s death to his childhood. “I will live until my life runs out.” Great message all throughout!

Seeing as the movie's first act (during which I gave up watching) felt too heavy and hopeless, I was delighted to find out that the original short story feels much less grim and is lighter, actually. The entire world ends with the death of one ordinary person – that's quite beautiful. We do contain multitudes, and when we die, when each of us die, a little world, a whole galaxy of self vanishes with it. Death is indeed the end of days but, just as the little flip book pictures of Chuck dancing in the corner of the pages, it kind of goes on beyond us too.

All in all, a delightful short story and a quick read. This lowkey convinced me to give the movie another go.
