This only took me so long to read because it's been so popular, I had a hard time getting my hands on it! It was a beautiful conclusion to the Woolsey-Ferriday series. I was once again impressed by how all of the characters intertwine at the end, and I was happy that
Anne-May didn't necessarily get the redemption it felt like she was going to for a brief moment there. Martha Hall Kelly does a really great job of ensuring that the "villain" whose story we follow throughout the Lilac Girls series doesn't get full redemption and I appreciate that!
Overall, a really great conclusion to the series. If you enjoyed Lilac Girls and Lost Roses, be sure to finish it off with Sunflower Sisters!

I loved this book and the whole series so much. I loved how not only was it historical fiction but the whole series was based on a real family throughout different generations.

I'd say this one is as good as the others, I just like the setting of World War 1 and 2 better than the setting of the Civil War.

Not as good as Lilac Girls.

I enjoyed this book, but Lilac Girls is really in a class by itself. This one focuses on the Civil War. The Woolsey women were truly amazing and way ahead of their time. I was so impressed with Georgy especially. I liked the storyline of Jemma although I wanted to yell at her a few times near the end. She seemed so strong in the middle of the book and then seemed to lose all that strength near the end. It was super frustrating.

This is a good read and definitely worth it if you like historical fiction!
