Ali does it again! Loved the swim/dive backdrop, the (generally) good communication between our main pairing, the positive portrayal of therapy, and of course, the chemistry between S and L.

If you are looking for a nice lightheaded book with spice this is it. I loved the MMC and I believe there is a nice deeper meaning behind the story. This book is simple and yet kind of entertaining, but far from captivating. I am not the biggest fan of contemporary sport romance rather a big fantasy lover, but sometimes I do like to switch genres for variety. Although one thing I  thought was kind of annoying was that the main characters always referred to how much they are into kinky stuff and yet the spice was in my opinion not kinky at all. There was just one scene at the end of the book which referred to be a little more kinky but still only on the surface. But I guess this is a subjective opinion.
As I myself am not into heavy kinky stuff, I enjoyed this level referred in the book.

My first love? Books

My second love? Olympic swimmers and divers (helloooooooo Nathan Adrian in his prime)

My third love? One of my favorite authors writing a book about NCAA/Olympic swimmers and divers

There’s something I love so much about a college romance and the stage of life it focuses on. Make it more complex with a bunch of college athletes and a kinky relationship? Sold.

Compared to Ali’s last attempt at a much more spicy book, Deep End gave me everything I was searching for. The chemistry was there. There was character development. There was drama. I loved it.

Now Ali, can I get another book about Pen and her time in the pro diving world?? Pretty please???

I absolutely adored this book so much I love how with every one of Ali Hazelwood books it’s easy for the reader to relate even though she Ali introduced said reader to a whole new occupation or study. I’ll be honest when it comes to sports I never had too much of an interest but when reading this book I was constantly looking up videos of divers and wow it’s so beautiful.

Might be a little unfair of me to only give it 3.25 stars. It was too spicy/explicit for me. I didn’t enjoy those bits, but maybe I should’ve done a little more research about the book before picking it up. My first Ali Hazelwood book and overall did enjoy her writing style - just don’t love the sex scenes. Not my thing.
Was an interesting read though. I liked reading about their thoughts, lives, NCAA, diving/swimming, relationships, all of that.
Penn was incredibly annoying though. I wish that all got resolved a bit earlier in the book.
