I enjoyed it but found it slow. I did love Lukas and Scarlett and their relationship and that only Scarlett really understood Lukas. Pen, while having known him for so long, never knew him and that felt special. Scarlett was a great FMC and I realted to her at times so much.

This was so good. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this.
I got sucked in to Scarlet's recovery after her accident and her journey through that. I liked that Olive and Adam popped up for a bit as well.
I don't know that the depiction of the kink side to their relationship is completely representative, but it made for some very spicy scenes.

Ali Hazelwood always brings it with the fresh writing that is so easy to read. A lot of people are saying that there wasn't enough BDSM representation when that's how the story is framed, but these are college kids that are both new to acting on these desires and just because there isn't extremely graphic scenes, doesn't mean it isn't representative of the lifestyle. It definitely isn't vanilla, but it's tame for BDSM. Either way, I really liked the story and the characters and will continue to read Ali forever!

Picked this up on a whim. I really enjoyed the discussion on sexual fantasies and how it's not villanised or skipped over. I think I want to read more about how our non-sexual & sexual experiences influence our sexual wants. Really enjoyed finally reading mature characters, especially with how they handled conflict with each other and others.

Although I wanna say that it's time that romance authors read up on some up to date sex ed before writing sex scenes. I'm tired of the same myths that were created by men that aren't backed by studies, as well as have been detrimental to victims of SA, being used in spicy books.

It's a kinky college sports romance. It's exactly what it is. The characters were fun and there were some good moments. It was entertaining and I appreciate the way Hazelwood portrays kink (though, I really wish the realism extended to other aspects of physical intimacy - prep and safer sex anyone?).

I wish we'd gotten a bit more of Lukas' character shown not told, but I did appreciate what we did see.

I didn't love the therapy portrayal, though it's better than most, there was a bit too much magical mental health healing, and the FMC toed the cultural sensitivity line a bit too much, but overall it was entertaining and fun and I would read it again.

7/10 would recommend.
