Esta historia es todo lo que está bien en una relación. Por fin un protagonista masculino respetuoso, amoroso, decente, que no quemaría el mundo por ella ni mataría a cualquiera que se le arrimara. Simplemente es un hombre decente. Lo que más me ha gustado es que el libro trata de BDSM (prácticas sexuales alternativas como dominacióm, sumisión, masoquismo), pero lo muestran de una manera siempre consensuada y enmarcado como una práctica saludable. La relación entre los protagonistas es cero tóxica y es un alivio. Como la trama no es truculenta, puede parecer lento. Un punto siempre a favor de la autora es que sus protagonistas son inteligentes y estudian algo relacionado con ciencias.
Ok. This was a hard one to rate. Was it cringe? Yes. Did I roll my eyes? Yes. But I’m also obsessed with these two. The way our FMCs mind works? Me. The MMC? I want. It literally made me smile so much. And blush. All the things.

I’m not sure how to process into words how I’m feeling after this book. It’s painful how slow it felt before we got anywhere in this book. It physically hurts me that I didn’t love this book, because Ali is a favourite author of mine and usually her books are some of my favourites.
Scarlett drove me insane with how consistently negative she was about herself. Her character felt so 2 dimensional and the constant indecision felt like it gave me whiplash.
The only point that Scarlett felt bearable was when Lukas could talk her down. I can’t keep track of how many times I wanted to scream at her to stop being so dramatic and take some action.
The only redeeming quality of Lukas what that he was Swedish. The man was way too closed off and I also wanted to yell at him. Jan (his brother) was more expressive than he was.
I really hope this was a one off, but I don’t see myself reaching for this book ever again.
