This was a really solid read! Scarlet and Lukas' chemistry was off the hook. Penelope was written to ragebait me (I wanted to fight her)

Imma have to put this right in the middle because I am a sucker for a silly little rom com with a cool little nerd side plot. But I’m docking it significantly because where the heck was the kink exploration?? Was it in the room with us??? AT ALLL????
The craziest part is that the main reason our two main characters get together is because of the ex gf (which I did not like that at all) pen doesn’t like freaky sex ONLY TO FIND OUT LATER THAT SHE WAS THE ONE INITIATING THREESOMES and our freaky 50 shades lovers (that’s how they are described multiple times in the books) are not into that or anything else Scarlet just likes finishing in 15 secs multiple times in a row and being told she’s doing a good job. Like honey me too, but that’s not kinky.

I'm struggling with how to rate this one. 3.5 I think. On the one hand, Lukas is absolutely the most solidly written book boyfriend I have read. I don't always like the he-falls-first trope but he was strong and solid and let Scarlett be....Scarlett. Lukas made me like Scarlett, which is really me saying that I don't think I liked her. I don't think I fully understood her because she was so wrapped up in the side plot with her best friend (and Lukas' ex but not ex....its complicated....).And then the diving--both Lukas and Scarlett have their own issues more or less and that pulls our focus from their relationship. And I tell you--the relationship (spice included!) is the ONLY good part of this book. Everything else I could not bring myself to enjoy. I wanted to ! I love the diving premise and the premed setting but just wasn't all there.
