I appreciated how things came together at the end, but I wasn't personally that interested in the characters or plot.

I was SO disappointed in how this book progressed and ended. It was incredibly promising, but it just got too predictable. I also think that the character introductions took too long, which made me reluctant to continue reading.

4.5⭐️? 4.75⭐️? Why did I wait so long to read this?
Fantastic read, I gobbled it up in just a few days (probably would have finished even sooner if you know, kids didn't get sick). How this isn't already a movie/series or slotted in production beats me, especially with the Authors background. You will find me recommending this one for others to pick up.

I'd rate it closer to a 4.5 but it was a page turner and a fast read so giving it 5 stars. Sharing my favorite lines from the book so that I can come back to them when I need to. "About how we often mistake love for fireworks -- for drama and dysfunction. But real love is very quiet, very still. It's boring, if seen from the perspective of high drama. Love is deep and calm - and constant."

you know... it wasn't bad, im just disappointed 🫠
first of all, I hated the pace... there were parts and chapters that were not needed and boring... the chapters you would say are pointless made sense in the end, but they were still pointless when you were reading them, so...
all the characters are just bunch of psychos litterally...
mc was psychotherapist, he was trying hard to help unstable people, yet the most unstable bitch in the club was him... at some point he switched his job to sherlock holmes. he was in other's people's business for the sake of his patient... well damn, i hated how the author almost made him in love with alicia...
alicia is also a whole another story... part of me felt bad for her, but she was insufferable...
the 'amazing plot twist'.... like come on... this is it?i was 100% sure from the beginning that kathy HAS to be involved in the plot twist and i was also 100% sure stupid gabriel is a cheater...
all of the chapters with theo finding out about kathy cheating were a little bit odd and like out of the timeline, so i suspected something like this happening...
if I didnt see about like a hundred plot holes i might have understood the hype on booktok, id say its really overrated
however, the book kept me hooked and the author is talented (it was just showing that this is his first work), he definitely can write and I will read more...
I loved the vibes of the book... I actually enjoyed that everyone was mentally ill and that i couldnt trust a single soul. I loved the mention of a greek play and it really fitted well with the book...
I also have to say, i recently rewatched american horror story asylum and I imagined the whole institution like the one in ahs... I was waiting the whole time for someone to start singing lana lana bo bana banana fanana fofena (sadly didnt happen...)
