“You’re so fucking beautiful.” She takes a step back, mouth open. Staring into my eyes, her top teeth bite into her lower lip before whispering, “You said fuck.” And before I can apologize, Jules jumps me.

🌟Julie Star, bad@$$ astronaut and hero of NASA. No filter and a temper, with a secret to hide. She retreats to West Ranch to help plan the wedding of her best friend with the best man, Holt. A goody two-shoes cowboy who blushes when teased.

🌾Holt West, oldest of the West siblings and the level headed one. Respectful, clean mouthed, and doesn’t like to displease anyone. His world gets thrown upside down when Jules tears down his driveway declaring she’s staying there to help plan the wedding.

💋But he doesn’t know she’s hiding. Tension builds and the attraction they have leads to heated nights on the ranch. She brings out the wild side in him and helps him find some happiness. He settles the storm that’s within her and discovers she has a thing for his cute printed boxers.

🤫But secrets build, trust breaks, and someone gets hurt. Can they fix what’s broken to ride off into the sunset together? Or will this mission of happiness be a bust?

‼️THOUGHTS‼️
This one was definitely a bit more spicy than book one but I loved the sassy and bada** attitude of Jules. When we met Holt in book 1 I was hoping he’d end up with Jules and I’m so happy he did. They are a true Yin & Yang pairing with big contrasting personalities! But Holt is the absolute sweetest ♥️

The stalker reveal took me by surprise and I’m happy with how it all ended! I cannot wait to read Ian & Trish’s book next! It’s gonna be so good 😏

Meh. The characters were developing,  and then they hopped into before together.

I liked this book, but I didn't like Jules too much. Something about her definitely rubbed me the wrong way

Julie is an astronaut nicknamed "NASA's Star" (her last name) who finds some attention after hot wiring the International Space Station during her last mission. This has also brought on a lot of media attention, talks of a big promotion, and some gifts and messages from a stalker. Julie's best friend Jackie also happened to find herself a guy while Julie was in space last time and now Julie finds herself being the Maid of Honor in Jackie's upcoming wedding. The Best Man happens to be Holt West, the groom's brother. Needing to get away from her own home, Jackie basically moves herself into Holt's house on his ranch to sort out wedding details, which makes things interesting because Holt and Julie are complete opposites. What happens when Julie storms out of Holt's house and right into a trap set by the stalker?

I love sassy FMC's who have the confidence to say and do whatever they want. I also love MMC's who appear tough and that they know what they want on the outside, but let a woman melt them down in a good way. Both Julie and Holt tell things how it is. As much as I loved Julie and Holt, I think Cookie is my favorite character! This is book 2 in the series, but I enjoyed it as much as the first! Narration was perfect and I'm happy we get to keep listening to Lee Samuels and Samantha Brentmoor continue on in the series! Excited for book 3!!

THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You love sassy FMC's who aren't afraid to go after what they want and the guys who will do anything for them.

This book is a cure to my bad selection of books. Miss Hudson have a great sense of humor. And I love the idea that Jules is a space cadet. Smart, confident woman. Although her acting tough is bit too much sometimes.

I want to see more better plot though. The stalker plot is old and boring. The banter between Jules and Holt is funny and sweet. Makes me laugh and smile.

Overall this is a very enjoyable read.

This was a super fun, light, spicy romance novel. The story was engaging enough to keep me reading,  and provided a good break for my brain - exactly what I was looking for!  I am looking forward to the others in the series. Being from Houston and tied into the NASA world, I enjoyed the author's insider view of things, and recognizing places mentioned in the story.
