i... don't know what to say or how to feel or. how to react in general actually.
i'm rating it 3 stars to rate it something but this is... strong. and disturbing. and uh, yeah it was certainly something! i'd recommend checking if someone else said there's trigger warnings because i can't think of any in specific, i don't know if there's anything in specific, it's the general vibe. i am glad i read it because i wanted to for a while it's just not my usual thing.

Interesting format but I wish that there's more to the story.
Here's the thing. I read this book for the first time over three years ago, and I still think about it sometimes. I'm one of those people who rarely remembers a book after I finish it, but for some reason this one just sticks with me.
That being said, it was really hard to read sometimes. I fully skipped over the animal abuse on this read, but there are still some really gross parts. But like I said, I still think about this book and bring it up in conversation, so I think that says a lot.
On my first read I said I wished it was longer and I still fully agree with that, but this can't be anything less than a five star read with how much it occupies my brain.

I think I would have liked this more if it were longer. I liked the emails and the IM conversations, but it was just missing something that I think would have been there if it were longer.
Also trigger warning for animal abuse, I would liked to have known that going in.

I don't even know what this was. Horrible but can't tear your eyes from it. It just didn't have any point though, no resolution, no explanation, it didn't do anything?
I can't even formulate a coherent sentence about this. I did not expect this and I am pretty sure it would have been better if I just put this book down at the beginning, because holy hell what was this?!

it's not even a mean two stars. expected to hate this or regret reading it but honestly thought it was kinda boring., it did not have much of an effect on me. it's actually well-written on a sentence level and i think it could've been impactful if (now I'm gonna say something very out of character) it had been longer. because the biggest problem i had was that things were moving so quickly i just did not find them believable at all, making it hard to care about the characters or what happened to them. so the only thing left was the excessive gore which was nasty and gore is not my cup of tea.
if you like that kind of stuff or are intrigued by the horrible things people can come up with to hurt each other? then sure, this is your book
