If you have been wanting to try a Matthew Dante book but don't want the darkness and twisty thriller, pick this one up. While Lucas does have a dark backstory with potential triggers for readers, the overall book to me has more lightness to it. Again some darkness regarding Lucas' past throughout the book but overall not as dark. Caden is the perfect protector for Lucas. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to see what's in store for the secondary characters in this world.

And of course, Matthew brings all the heat π₯ sometimes a little too much heat, as Lucas's past catches up with him... can these two make it to their HEA?
