We stan a curvy queen and a bi king

I really enjoyed this novella! The plot didn’t feel rushed and I got to know the characters really well in a short amount of time. Also loved the queer representation and the fact that it was pretty low angst.

First of all I want to say how much I love the author of this cute novella! I love her podcast and her Instagram. She is so funny, and seems like she would be the best friend. Just from following her on the socials, I figured this novella would be super body positive, inclusive with a fun group of characters, be packed with heat, and have some sweet and funny moments. And I was right. I liked Nora a lot and I adored Bowie! He is my favorite kind of hero. The friend group is fun, the premise was cute and well done. There were a few things I didn't love (mostly the insta-love, and the non communication), but at the end of the day I really enjoyed this quick and fun read, and I can't wait to see what Kelly does next!

2.5ish ⭐️ probably would have loved this if it hadn’t been novella length, it had so much potential!

timing issues

I think the premise of this book has so much promise but for me it fell flat. The author tried to cram too much into this novella and the parts that should have been quick dragged on, and the spicy parts that should have been slowed down felt rushed. Overall the vibes weren’t there, but I think there’s a lot of promise.

Cute characters, but I felt like the pacing was a bit off. Some things felt rushed and forced. But still a fun read!

Fat female fmc who is confident and knows what she likes meets Brit guy who bakes and is into her. I should’ve liked it, but I just didn’t. If it wasn’t a novella, I would’ve DNFed it I think. There was too much going on and too many characters for the length of the book. As a result everything felt rushed and shallow to me and I just didn’t care what happened to any of them.

Honestly? Best Novella Ever. I absolutely LOVED Bowie and Nora’s story. It had everything right from the start of Bowie and Nora meeting- all the laughs, emotion, angst, spice. It just pulled me right in and gave you all the feels. I really enjoyed the friendships between all the side characters as well, they were so great. This was one story I didn’t want to end. I don’t want to say much more, as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but you definitely should read this novella.
