I really can't with this book right now. Im so annoyed, frustrated, and just downright angry. Aria is still amazing, though I found her to be a bit annoying in this one. I still absolutely despise Knox, and I honestly don't think I'll ever like him. I think that's been my biggest issue with the last book and this one. If something doesn't change soon, I think I will just put the series down. I've already read over 1000 pages and still despise Knox. He has no qualities that I find attractive.

"I am neither wanted nor craved by you. I am simply a means to an end. I don’t think anyone has ever wanted me, not simply just for me.”

"To be worthy of one being who just wants me and likes who I am,”

" I am someone’s dream, and you’re my nightmare, Knox.”

I'm genuinely heartbroken for Aria. Throughout the last book and this one, she has felt unloved, unwanted, and alone. She has her sisters, but she still feels completely separate from them. She has gone through so many betrayals and is still standing. Though, I don't know how she keeps fighting. She's so much stronger than she gives herself credit for.

Again, the writing felt so childish and so repetitive. How many times did I have to read how badly Aria wanted to fuck Knox 🙄 there were pages and pages of them both ranting about fucking each other. Where was an editor because a lot of that could have been cut out!!!

Im so annoyed and just unsure that I want to continue this story. I'm so frustrated, yet I want to know what happens with the Nine Realms and whether Aria succeeds in what she's trying to do.

The character development is slightly better than it is in Ashes of Chaos. My problem is the side characters are written better than either of the M/C’s. The spice is so worth pushing through the first half of the book!
