4.5 out of 5 stars and my 3rd favorite of the novellas so far. Sam and Celeana's love story is so romantic and it is such a strange way of reading to already know the tragic conclusion. But it is that time... Time to read the 5th and final novella.
Gun to my head, I could not tell you want happened in this short story. By the time I got to the fourth one, I was ready for it to be over. But I do remember enjoying this one so there’s that.

Wow...just wow. I really enjoyed this, and I love see everything come together, and make sense for Throne of Glass. How exciting.
Especially with the whole romance aspect thrown in. True enough, it had a bit of a backspin, but I liked it well enough.

More backstory of Celaena and Sam's relationship. This novella tells the story of what happens when she gets back from the Silent Assassins and how Celaena and Sam's relationship develops. It also shows the conniving and manipulation by Aborynn.
I feel like Sam & Celaena's new relationship was rushed - specifically from Celaena's part. Sam loved her for years, while Celaena only begun to start liking him. Aside from that, the story was pretty good ultimately leading up to the last short story that will have us meeting Celaena in Throne of Glass.
Entertaining, though this time, I found the final twist to be predictable.
