This was the first DOAWK novel that I’ve read in a single sitting, I couldn’t put it down! And now I need to try a fudgedog SO bad. I wish Greg Heffley had been my school principal </3

hands-down excellent. both a riveting first-person story and an intelligent commentary on the lack of funding in public schools.
also touches on consumerism, AI, fake news, meritocracy, and more.

this is the severance for middle schoolers, from the narrator we all know love and trust: GREG HEFFLEY

18th book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series

This is probably my least favorite and most outlandish.

I really wish Greg would grow up but he is still in middle school after 18 books.

I read this series as a lighthearted break from more serious books and this did not disappoint. I also enjoy them because I read them throughout my childhood so they provide a lot of nostalgia. Jeff Kinney has a talent for continuing the series without it feeling watered down. I’m still enjoying this series over a decade after starting it

One of the lower-ranking books in the series. I think the previous two were better.
