An incredible piece of literature. This is one of my favorites in the series. Kinney manages to sprinkle in real-life commentary on AI, book banning, and flat-earthers while keeping the focus on humor. I laughed so much reading this.

This is the most outrageous one yet. It’s got some really outlandish humor, all of which works. But it’s also the shakiest volume. The beginning kinda sucks, and some patches throughout are boring. There’s also a depressing haze over the entire book, which is connected to its strongest point: the commentary.
This book is maybe the most serious because it’s taking on public school funding and more generally the impact of late-stage capitalism on public education. So some of the jokes are scathing, some are a bit messy or unfair, some are brilliant (like the ads sequence)—but most of them are depressing, because of how much of a mess this country is.
So this is the most conflicting book in the series, with shades of brilliance under a looming gloom.
