this was so effortlessly funny for absolutely no reason 🫡
(but also the references to the real life problems faced in schools today (particularly in the US))

Incredibly goofy – the consequences of school budget cuts kicked up to 11. Rowley is largely absent, along with the Heffley family; Greg mainly experiences the events of this book solo.

I have read all of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books with my son.  I have enjoyed almost all of the books.  I found this one too political pointing out the errors in America instead of the lighthearted silliness that these books typically are about.  I feel the earlier books are more enjoyable.
