I liked this story. I found the world to be intriguing, even if I didn't fall for the characters as deeply as I was expected to.

I had high hopes for this book because I really liked the movie. I hardly ever say this about books but I liked the movie more than I liked the book. With that being said I really did enjoy reading this book. It had so much more information than the book did.
I can't wait for the movie to come out, but I am wondering how they're going to pull it off because of Thomas and Teresa's special abilities. I also didn't the characters looking like that but *shrugs* I'll live.
When I finished reading this book, I was left with a sensational feeling that screamed, "Lets read the next one!" So, obviously it was good. I was shocked by the ending and let me tell you this, there was A LOT of death.

Very disappointing. Despite a terrific premise and imaginative world-building, this was one of the most boring books I've read in awhile. Absolutely wooden characters about whom I felt nothing. You should at least care whether or not characters live, and I couldn't even work up that much interest. I skimmed the last half of the book just to figure out what the maze was. That isn't really made very clear, and I certainly won't be reading on to find more.
As far I remember, I liked the characters in this one. Except, for the heroine (I don't even remember OMG, it was years ago since I've read this one, and I haven't picked it up again since haha) the plot was weak, for me at least, though I liked how detailed it was, considering the movie did not do the book justice lol
Apparently this is a series. I will not be continuing. Dashner may have a talent for plot, but his writing drives me crazy. Everything is extreme, every emotion must be described in a completely over-the-top way. One cannot be sad, one must have the saddest face in the entire world. Suffered through this as it got farther along.

That ending though. The only reason I didn't move on to the second book right away was because I was by the sea and ridiculously hot. can't wait to continue the series.
Kalau menurutku, buku ini kurang greget. Plotnya cukup lambat. Pemberian jeda dari satu bab ke bab berikutnya juga kurang membuat kaget (not that breathtaking). Misteri yang dibungkus masih perlu diperbaiki lagi supaya jadi makin bagus.
Soal tokohnya, aku merasa kalau Thomas ini sosok yang lemah, yang sebenarnya biasa saja tapi berada pada waktu dan tempat yang salah.
