10/10 - hook line sinker >>> it happened one summer, LOVED the relationship of fox & hannah waaayyyyyyyy more than brendan & piper, like the reformed bad boy was chef’s kiss, also it wasn’t as raunchy as it happened on summer either which definitely made it score higher, also i eat up the friends to lovers shit, highly recommend this one, definitely over it happened one summer

This was so sweet! Less spicy than the first one but definitely for the best! The slow burn, the angst, the drama! Only downside was the epilogue which didn't feel necessary... other than so much fun!

"you make me feel like i'm in the exact right place. nothing to run from, nothing to hide."

this is officially my new favourite from tessa, i bloody loooooved this!!
i didn't think i would as i'm always skeptical about second books and also the fact that this was £3!! £3 from the works usually means it's gonna be crap but this blew my mind honestly. i think it happened one summer was also 3 quid which is such a shock, why are these good books being sold for so cheap!! not that i'm complaining...

fox is such a good character, a very realistic depiction of what a non-commital man is like. have to admit i didn't like him in the first book but he really grew on me in this one when more of his personality started showing through - not to mention the scenes which probably made him everyone's new crush

and hannah, what an actual cutie, i love her personality! as someone who is a music geek herself i found her very easy to relate to and the initial timidness for going for what you want and slowly becoming a leading lady was so pure

"i'm jealous as fuck, you're my hannah you know?"
"come on babe, you knew it had to be huge"
"knees up, hannah."
"just be my hannah"
"once you've done some thinking and pulled your head out of your stubborn ass come find me, you're worth the wait."
"i didn't know what felt right until you - i'm holding onto the good you give me. i'm holding onto you."

Definitely enjoyed this book! Hannah and Fox had me in real tears a couple times. I think in comparison to the first book it fell a hair flat, but still definitely worth the read!

Watching Hannah connect with her deceased father and find her own power to be the main character of her life was inspiring, and Fox learning about self love and respect was an important life lesson too. Sprinkled with humor the entire way. Tessa Bailey is a rock star at romance and I look forward to future reads by her!

This one was even better than the first one. The emotion felt so much more genuine and Fox is 10000/10
