I honestly didn’t know what to expect when It came to Lex’s story. He was always the joking and carefree brother as a background character in his brother’s books, but now with his own book, he is not as carefree as he came off to be. Lex has his own demons, and this book really made me feel for him.
Raya really came in and fit so perfectly with him, that it really took him by surprise. They both had perfect chemistry from the beginning and it was incredible to see how they fought to overcome their differences, just like any other marriage.
Once again, I got my heart torn out and put back together and I cried of course. This series is honestly one of my favorites. Through each of these books the couples have had to overcome their differences to find love. So beautifully written, I just can’t get enough.

Ever since I started this series, I always knew Lexington was going to be my favorite Windsor. This book solidified that belief. I adore Raya (the little fairy) for being a stem girly who loves her family so fiercely she would do anything for them.
The smut scenes had me absolutely GAGGED. The library!!! The desk that Adrian Astor gifted to Lex!!! So many “will they get caught??” Scenes gahhhhh!!!
Lex’s trauma was a little predictable but that’s okay. Seeing him finally open up to Raya about it is the scene that truly mattered. What I did not expect was for him to pull that gun on her and traumatize her even more than she already was by her bio-dad. Seriously, the plot twists and heart wrenching moments were never ending.
The cameos from all the windsors were *chefs kiss*. My jaw was on the floor the second Dion rushed in ready to crack some skulls (he was my fave before Lex). And then when grandma turned to her girls like they were Annie’s Angels… and they all were already prepared to ruin the lives of their enemies, wow. Just wow.
Ultimately, this story broke my heart so many times and Lex and Raya working things out felt somewhat rushed in the end. The dynamics are so realistic though that I don’t have a hard time believing they earned each other’s trust that easily.
I’m obsessed with the car he designed for her with the special buttons. Love that callback to Silas’ story and the psi logo button.
I was also glad to finally get a taste of the Sierra and Xavier story that we all knew was coming. I’m already so hyped for the next book!!

i only read this book out of the series and ehh. i didn’t like this book one bit, contrary to everyone else.
this one just felt more wholesome than the others but i love them just the same. there wasn’t a moment where lex wasn’t in love with raya
