Cała trylogia przesłuchana w formie audiobooków - bardzo polecam, słuchowisko pierwsza klasa, ogromny plus za efekty dźwiękowe i ilość lektorów, którzy robią robotę (jedynie rzężenie Pomurnika powodowało u mnie odruch wymiotny).
Przyznam, że myślałam, że nie skończę tej książki. Ostatnią część zaczęłam rok temu (!) ale nie był to dobry moment (chyba byłam zmęczona poprzednimi częściami) i bardzo szybko ją porzuciłam. Powróciłam do niej zaledwie dwa dni temu i tym razem nie mogłam się oderwać. Jednak po śmierci Jutty miałam ochotę cisnąć tym w cholerę - no bo jak to, po co to wszystko było, jeśli nie ma happy endu?! Po śmierci Samsona żałowałam, że nie cisnęłam tym w cholerę

Oh man, what can I say? I will probably come back and write a more thorough review. But this book has somewhat negatively affected my take on the whole series. Definitely the weakest book in the trilogy. It broke my heart at times and other I was having a blast. But this book has way too much going on and in my opinion fails to follow through many of the themes, ideas, and plots introduced in the first two books (the first arguably being the best in the series). The ending is ultimately disappointing. Too many loose ends. I felt no catharsis in the end. Just sadness, emptiness, and frustration. The Witcher remains his magnum opus. And while I adopted the characters and magic and nerdiness of these books, I felt myself constantly annoyed by the seemingly random and incessant diversions into plots and characters that were immediately dropped. The story didn't wrap up. It just ended. I get life is that way. Sapkowski is writing realism with fantasy layered on top. His style is literary, but his plotting...

I think I've realized that historical fiction might not be my cup of tea, but the novel was well written and plot heavy, which isn't usually what I'm looking for. I look for compelling characters, and to some extent this book does have interesting characters.
