I never thought that I would enjoy another science-fiction series like Star Wars. I am thrilled that I found one! Finishing this first book of the series, gives be excite for the rest of the novels. I can't wait for the 2020 movie to come out, especially with the chosen actor for the character. I strongly believe that the director has found the right personnel for which character. Its a shame that the 1984 version is so disappointing, but the mini-series Children of Dune looks very promising.

Upon a re-read, I found Dune to be as immaculate as the first time I read it. A richly detailed world full of science, religion, politics, and philosophy.

I don't understand the hype. The inability of Herbert to ever follow through on a storyline renders the story difficult to follow and many of the characters hard to connect with.

No more terrible disaster could befall your people than for them to fall into the hands of a Hero

Technically a reread but there was so much I didn’t remember accurately, this just felt so fresh
