God, I love this book.

Dickens sure can take a while to get to the point. But when he does it's brilliant and perfect. I was familiar with this story but had never actually read the book and honestly, I think the story itself is almost secondary to the setting. The language he uses, the description of the poverty and living conditions, and all of the stuff in between is what makes this a classic.

This novel has a slow start that seems sometimes overwritten, but it quickly develops into a classic Dickens story with memorable characters and plot connections.

Tiene algunos momentos que no son tan interesantes pero los que sí lo son dejan la obra por lo alto. El inicio es bellísimo.

That's a pretty awesome novel
I loved the love story and the sacrifice in it
It really describe the mess in French very well
And it shows how revenge could blind people and make them evil and take the best of them

That ending. So powerful.

see my personal blog, contains spoilers. I appreciated the writing. I appreciated the plot, and could think some more about the two cities. I felt a little distance from the characters...from another time and melodramatic even for me.
