4 stars

Definitely better written then the prior books. Also I love that Armentrout doesn't make the drama about the relationship, but rather them facing the drama together as a team.

Okay, so it's been a while since I read Origin. I started it right after finishing Opal, so cliffhanger be damned, but I immediately read Opposition afterwards (because I can! I'm so glad I read this after it was finished!) and they all blur together now.
But, I do remember I expected angst and torture and Daemon and Kat being separated and torn apart - a kind of Bloodlines situation.
And then Jennifer outdid herself once again and made it all even greater by putting Kat and Daemon in the path of danger, as usual, but TOGETHER. And that's make Lux makes all different: they are ultimately equals. Both Kat and Daemon have their issues, and Daemon gets the alpha male attitude every once in a while, but Kat is one of those teen heroines I've only ever found in Richelle Mead's writing, and that is a strong and so endearing character, because she has her limits and her flaws, but is never a damsel in distress but toe to toe with both plot and her male counterpart.
So, yeah, Origin is packed with action, reunions, fluffy moment, ill-timed sex attempts and good timed romance, and it just all works perfectly. There is another cliffhanger at the end, because of course there's no room to breathe in this series, but that just means that Opposition is around the corner.

I don't think it'd be fair for me to write a review for Origin, since it's been years since I read the previous three books, but I thought the book was good. It was also pretty gutsy of Armentrout to
Spoilerso blatantly paint the Department of Defense as the enemy
, so I guess we'll see where the conclusion takes us.

*4.5*
This one is definitely my favorite.

Review later. The book has it's minor grammatical issues but I love these characters and this whole story so much.

Hey lala!
