Feeling both enraged and inspired by the arguments laid out in this book. We need to shift the conversation about abortion from women to men. As Blair points out 100% of unwanted pregnancies are the result of a man ejaculating. Highly recommend this book to women and men alike. It is not a man bashing tirade, rather a thoughtful argument on how energy and focus in the abortion debate is misguided and ineffective when we only focus on women and the act of abortion while failing to address the reason the pregnancy occurred in the first place.

Excellent reframing of the issue, carefully without judgement. A few quibbles, but necessary. Next steps for people are to read why they want to make abortion illegal - control over women and a large lower class population that has to take shit jobs to survive and prop up the oligarch class.

Read for book club

I think this different perspective is tragically needed - men should absolutely take more responsibility in unwanted pregnancies. And getting at the root of the problem instead of arguing about abortions really would reduce abortion numbers. I think some of her analogies are not the strongest, but she makes her point, and she gives us some clear action steps. I'll keep rallying for comprehensive sex ed and better access to contraceptives.

Everyone everyone EVERYONE should read this book. Even as someone who has been very involved in this dialogue for most of my teen and adult life, there were so many perspective shifting facts, figures and arguments. Vividly demonstrated how vague or nonexistent our understanding of our own bodies is!

The 28 point argument is concise yet relatively thorough. I’m thinking maybe I need to send a copy to the women in my life so they too can read, discuss with friends and partners, sisters and mothers, perhaps even share with their children…

Wow. Just wow. I don’t care what your stance on abortion is…Every. Single. Person. Needs. To. Read. This!!! You have a son? Read it. You have a husband, boyfriend, or sexual partner? Read it! Society is looking at things all wrong and if we changed that mindset we would not need legislation for this issue at all! It is now required reading for my husband and I will unashamedly recommend this book to everyone! It’s short—GO READ IT!

given that my interest in reproductive justice is basically a personality trait at this point, this book wasn’t particularly groundbreaking for me, but i do think it would be very impactful for a lot of people. it’s short and to the point, which i really admire. the arguments themselves are very strong, and it only takes about an hour to read cover to cover. i think every sexually active person should read it, especially straight men lol. in conclusion, the title says it all.
