I'm currently somewhere in chapter 2. Chapter 1 was pretty enjoyable, but I think this is a book that I won't read all in one sitting, but rather bits here and there when I can/have time. (I started this right before I went back to grad school, so my reading-for-pleasure-time has dropped drastically.) It's very interesting to read a story about the behaviors of people through the eyes of a cat. I'm hoping that tone remains throughout the book.

When starting this book, I was gripped by the first chapter. I really enjoyed following the observations of a cat. However, as the book goes on it becomes more about philosophy and the men discussing philosophy. I felt like the cat’s voice was lost at points and replaced with the authors philosophical ideas.

The first and second chapter are enough to grasp the book's execution and intention. It gets old very quickly. A novelty read. Overall, I'm glad I encountered and delved into this book.
