It was informative but pretty dense after "Come as You Are". I feel like this book provided similar information to the previous books for class.

I read this book the first time a long time ago and remember it as being transformative. While it was a hugely interesting read and way ahead of its time, it hasn't aged very well. On the re-read, it reads more like a manifesto than what the book promises: "A practical guide to Polyamory"

I am extremely grateful for the conversations the book sparked when it was first released, and for the tremendous amount of research and further writings that followed, but I think reading it today should be done as a historical work, rather than as a practical guide.

Helpful information but if you’re educated in more contemporary queer theory or consent stuff, seems a bit elementary.

A valuable guide to help you either understand ethical non monogamy, or ethical sluthood, or in my case to better articulate the concepts, emotions and thoughts you have on the subject. It’s well written by two therapists who clearly know their stuff but write in a way for those of us without degrees in psychology to understand. I’d recommend it to anyone curious about the subject and even those who have no intention or interest in being non-monogamous as it still has some wonderful ideas and exercises to better connect to your partner and yourself.
