Apprentice to the Villian was good. It had a somber feel to it than the first book. There wrre still lighthearted and funny parts but there was an underlying somberness. It brimmed with the magic and the wonder of the fairytales I read as a child. It also captured that feel of Disney's fairytales. It was packed with revelations, more secrets, angst, pining, villainy, twists and turns galore. I loved that there were parts of it that were reminiscent of this world specifically the harm being done to the world due to greed and selfishness of a few. I loved being back in this world and catching up with these beloved characters. I can't wait to see what happens next especially with all the things that went down in this one. I definitely recommend this book and series.
