This book made me actively interested in fishing which alone makes it one of best pieces of writing to ever be published. I immediately wanted to go to Newlyn and try get a berth on a fishing boat (as though they'd have me), but honestly, after reading about it in such vivid detail, I don't even need to. I can practically imagine what I would experience through the words. Lamorna Ash has a way with words I haven't encountered in some time. I've never read a book like this before, but I hope to read more like it one day.
