This book would’ve been better if I had connected to any of the characters. I know that we’re not supposed to be rooting for the bullies (that’s the whole point) but because they were very one dimensional I found myself losing interest a little. I was rooting for Poppy, but I also wasn’t that invested in her character.

The ending made up for a lot and did surprise me though. Overall, the story is an exaggerated tale of how bullying can affect people and I thought it was an interesting take.

for most of this book I felt pretty meh but the twist did have me say "oh SHIT" out loud to nobody so that added the .5 I think. It was a little hard to keep track of the 4 girlies because their voices didn't feel super distinct to me and it was Fucked Up but the end was satisfying so here we are at a 3.5

literally NONE of this was surprising. especially the “big plot twist”. it felt like i was just waiting for everyone to find out.

I thought the premise of this book had a really good potential to hook me but in the end it was just average. I loved the idea of the high school friends getting together as adults, but it made me so angry how mean the girls were to Poppy. I enjoyed the twist and turns as I got further into the book.

This was a good thriller, very predictable for me but still enjoyable and intriguing. Very reminiscent of the guest list, Daisy darker, and then there were none, etc… if you liked any of those your probably enjoy this, unless you dislike books that are too similar than you probably wouldn’t.

3.5 stars! This was a good suspense to get me out of my reading slump and to keep me entertained while in the car. It just reaffirms my fears about high school aged-girls: they can be brutal! But there's nothing like a sweet dose of revenge to even the playing field.

I did find pieces of this story predictable at times, but I was still intrigued enough to know how things were going to shake out. I do feel a bit unsatisfied by the ending, left wondering. But I think that's the appeal to this story. Worth a read or listen to scratch the itch!
