Meh… I felt like the “twist” was very predictable.
This was not the typical read that I would choose, however it had some qualities to it that definitely inspired me to keep reading. As much as I wanted to strangle each of those girls for not giving empathy to eachother OR themselves, I must admit that the pure rage Wendy had was almost...justified. They RUINED Poppy's future and didn't think twice about it. And then Wendy lost her sister because of them. If anything, Wendy did that little fictional world a justice.

Kids in high school can be brutal to each other! I know I grew up before the Internet, and still, people were awful to me. I don't know how kids handle it now.
I do know how the poor high school girl from "She Started It" handled her frustration over being mercilessly teased during high school. She invites the "mean girls" to a private island to celebrate her hen party. Only, the fun turns deadly when the mean girls realize that she has not forgiven and forgotten.
I absolutely loved this book! I know I am a sucker for any thrillers that mirror "And Then They Were None" (my all time favorite thriller), but this one has a great pay off.
It doesn't hurt that some of the mean girls from my high school might have "enjoyed" some time on a private island, invited by me, if I could remember their names and/or had the money.
The narrators are all fantastic. Sometimes- when the story is told first person by 5 female characters- it is hard to tell them apart. But between the wonderful narration and Sian's words, I had no problem.
I can't wait to read the next Sian Gilbert novel!

Mean Girls has nothing on this group of women. There were plenty of twists and turns but at moments it felt predictable. Overall, a very intriguing read in a world where bullying is even more prevalent.
3.5. There were a few times I wanted to just stop reading bc this was so ridiculous, but I couldn't because I had to know what happened. Tanya, Esther, Chloe and Annabel are invited to the bachelorette party for former schoolmate, Poppy. They were never friends with Poppy, quite the opposite. But since the trip sounds like a dream, they all decide to go. The trip has a lot in store for the 4 girls.
I loved the flashbacks of this. This was pretty predictable and honestly kinda dumb, but I raced through it anyway!

The party of a lifetime is nothing like what they expected...
Revenge or karma? Either way you look at it there is a lot of trouble for these five women celebrating this bride to be. Everyone is hiding something and no one’s secrets are safe anymore.
This book was so thrilling and no many twists and turns. It is going to keep you guessing. Nothing is what it seems.
Do yourself a favor and go read this book right now.
Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
