Really good revenge thriller set on an isolated private island. I thought it was shaping out to be a little predictable but I definitely didn't see the twist coming.

I can’t. These women are awful people, which is the point, so I really don’t care what happens to them.
Plus, the last person standing being revealed at the beginning even though it’s a “twist” just kind of ruined any desire I had to keep reading.

This is like the murder version of the friends episode guest starring Julia Roberts. Super predictable and awkward pacing.

this was good. solidly good. just wish it wouldn’t have been so easy to tease out the plot twists.
3.5, rounded to 4 because it was enjoyable as much as it was over-the-top. Yon won’t find a protagonist or likable characters, but you will find a lot of drama and secrets. If you’re not new to mysteries and thrillers, you’ll likely guess a lot of the twists, but it was still a good ride. Set on a private island, I’d consider it a decent beach read. Some content warnings, too: self-harm and emotional abuse/bullying.
