Are people really like this? Because these were the worst people ever and they deserved so much worse…

Four “friends” get invited to be bridesmaids by the girl they tormented in school and for some crazy reason they agree and go off to a private island party. They deserved it just from deciding to go. They were terrible as teenagers and worst adults so you can’t feel bad for them at all. Friends that backstab each other as well as everybody else. Naturally they give in to suspicion once it’s clear that one of them is and chaos ensues because revenge comes in many forms.

I guess the twist early on and it’s not really hard to know where it’s going but the addition of Poppy’s story from when they were younger just made you want to hate the all so much more. I love a hood And Then There Was None type of story so naturally I liked this a lot. But really are there people like this in the world?

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. I am absolutely in LOVE with it. You know when exactly the right book finds you at exactly the right time? That is what this felt like. This book was phenomenal. It tackles childhood bullying in a way that felt so genuine and accurate; it takes place in an island setting (a favorite of mine); and even though I saw some of the twists coming, it felt so satisfying to have my theories proven right. If you don't read this book, you're wasting your time.

Check TW, but very good!

The characters were interesting but the plot was predictable and dragged horribly in spots.

Really not written well, like stylistically it was very weird. It feels like the author doesn’t really know how women interact. There was no character to really root for and you could see every twist from a mile away. I think I saw this on a list of “beach reads”and I can see why, you don’t need to be paying attention to understand what’s going on and if you never pick it up again, you won’t think about it.
