This is the second book in the Lovelight series. We get more Beckett, the grumpy farmer who we met in the first book, and his crush the social media influencer Evie. The more I read the more I understand what tropes I like and don’t like. I’m quickly learning that I'm not a fan of the miscommunication trope. I found myself rolling my eyes at some of the quick accusations as they jumped to conclusions instead of having an adult conversation. It was still an enjoyable read and I’m excited to continue on with the series by reading the third book, Mixed Signals where we get to know the town baker, Layla a little better!
