This was an amazing autobiography. I listen to this autobiography as Audible book, and the performance was outstanding. The life of Ida B Wells was one of self sacrifice for the greater good of the African-American nation. It’s amazing to this day. It was not that long ago and we are still fighting the struggle of racism in America. Her ability to outline the difficulties of not only getting justice for the African-American, but to get engagement from African-Americans still persist today.

Fascinating material of herself, then of her methods, thinking, and exposure of those around her.

Often dry (I skimmed) and then surprisingly amusing. Well worth reading on its own, but especially in adjunct to other works that make more of a history of her work and life.
