I liked the art in these issues, and it fit the story well. The way in which reality flickered and was unreliable was very well-done. I would like to see where the rest of this run goes. That said, however, I found the volume a bit dissatisfying, like I had been smelling delicious feast aromas but only ended up being given bread an butter. I imagine it would've been more frustrating reading this as single issues.

Some fun graphics, but I think I was more engaged by the angle the TV series took.

This book to it’s core is okay, at least just after watching the Disney Plus series earlier on the day I started reading the book. Like, the cinematography and acting throughout the tv show was spectacular so I had a difficult time not setting (high) expectations for this novel. I liked the juxtaposition between the various settings in the novel. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the Moon Knight franchise though.

...What did I just read?

A bizarre and unsatisfying comic. I still know nothing about the character (maybe even less than before). Reading this gave me a headache. The guy is in a mental hospital, but it's not a real mental hospital, or maybe it is, because the guy is crazy, or maybe it isn't because he's being manipulated by demon-crocodile things and dimension-jumping beings. Or maybe he is just crazy and none of that is real? But it turns out there's a second Moon Knight who is the real one? Or maybe I blacked out while reading and imagined it all myself?

I was hoping the end would tie everything together and give some kind of explanation, but all it did was get more confusing.

However, the artwork is good! It has a sort of fuzzy, dream-like look to it. It suited the tone of the story. If that's what you're after, pick this up I guess. I do not recommend though! Sorry!
