It was better than the first one in the series, but it still wasn't a book that really captured my attention. Like the first one, it felt like the characters lacked depth and development. Yvonne's childhood backstory felt rushed and thrown in awkwardly to add "depth" to her character, but it fell flat again.

This was a good enough book. However it wasn't the book for me. Yes it is erotica and BDSM but it's not how I expected it as much. I'm sure some people would love this book. I wish I did. If it matters, this was in third person too. It might have made it not as satisfying to me.

Maybe closer to 4.5 stars? Cuz I'm not like, invested in Ruby and Yvonne as characters, but this hits so many wish fulfillment boxes I have to give it a high rating
