Will rereview post rereading the final few chapters. I know I loved this books beginning but I honestly don't remember those last two or three conclusions chapters

3.5 stars, really. I find that sometimes the intricate stories that Nesbo crafts can fall behind the screwed up person and life Harry Hole is and leads. In this case the various elements of the craft were dark, sad and global. I enjoyed the travel elements, as well as the schitzo elements contained within the overall personal story arcs the characters are following. It is a page turner and a ride.

This plot was one of the best I've read so far in this series. What is exciting for me is that I'm developing my ability to discover clues and pickup on important details just as Harry is developing throughout the series. Thankfully we don't share alcoholism, but what this series does well is to not have any magic breakthroughs that cannot be supported by the earlier evidence. It doesn't mean that it isn't amazing he makes the correlations, but if you don't get it right away it does make sense when thinking back. I am happy to report that even on book 6 there are things I do miss and plot twists I still miss which keep me coming back to enjoy the ride!
