Not bad but not long enough to develop a real story and instead we get a quick marriage with almost superficial or superficially fixed issues and most come about because of the hot quick and lustful sex. The only thing we get to see that makes her "fall in love" with him is the sex and desire, though she states numerous other reasons, we didn't get to see them... other than he took care of her family without informing her first... so, not really great in the storyline or romance but it was good enough and quick enough to keep my attention.

What in the Jesus Christ was that.
👁️👄👁️

This book was, essentially, like somebody looked into my head for all the reasons I hate men and made a character out of it (Sebastian). Then, the relationship also represented all things I hate in romance (which isn't a lot because I love romance), making it toxic and more. Honestly, I would love to elaborate, but that could take days and I will make reference to all sources on sexism I can find.

In conclusion, this book was too much sexism for me.

Not a fan of insta love stories. Will still continue on with this series as I did like the writing.
Update: tried to read the second book in the series and ended up as a DNF.

It could have been a full book and not just novella length, hence 3 Stars

I read this book without knowing a thing about it, and I'm glad because that first scene was amazing. I had no idea what was going on, and it felt like I was seeing Jocelyn from Sebastian's eyes, even though it was told from her perspective.
As this is a novella, I didn't mind the insta-love too much. That said, I do wish this was longer so there would've been a more solid development to the story and the characters. I also could've done without Sebastian's frequent grunting. Just saying.

I don't normally enjoy shorter books, but this one had enough substance that I felt satisfied at it's conclusion.

The book felt very rushed, likely because of its length. It has potential if only it were longer and had a far better plot.
