Finished this book in one day. Could not put it down! The 5th book in the monsters and muses series and my favorite one. He pays $250M to marry her and then gives her a ring she can’t take off to show everyone that she’s his.

She comes from a past where she was mentally, emotionally and physically abused and just wants to dance. He is kind and caring to her and gives her what she always wanted and needed. Loved it.

I am absolutely obsessed with Cash & Ariana.

Ariana is a mafia princess who has suffered horrible abuse in her past. She’s destined to marry a man similar to her father, even though she can’t stand him. But when Cash, a sexy lawyer, steps in and purchases her from an auction, her world is turned upside down. Ariana is hot-headed, but she knows what she wants. Cash is stubborn and has his own plans, not only for Ariana but for her family business as well.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning! Ariana is such a complex character, with a traumatic past. She’s a strong woman who takes care of business, but when put in certain positions, she reverts back to the scared girl she used to be. Cash has his own demons he’s had to deal with, and his own obstacles to overcome. The chemistry between the two is off the charts and will make you not want to put the book down! Just wait till you get to the office scene…swoon! Oh, and did I mention that Cash wears glasses? There’s something about a man in glasses.

If you’re a fan of slow burns, a marriage of convenience, forced proximity, dark romance, and spice, check out Souls and Sorrows! This book is the fifth in the Monsters and Muses series and does feature some character crossover from previous books. Please be sure to read the trigger warnings, as some topics may not be suitable for all readers.

This book would’ve been a 4/5 stars for me if Cash didn’t do some seriously fucked up shit. I love a dark romance, so it takes a lot for me to say “that’s crossing a line.” And Cash LEAPED over that damn line.

Fun read!

Love how the girl wasn’t a damsel in distress. The relationship was a partnership, not just the guy protecting and controlling her. More so, the author shows healing from family trauma. Love heals and always wins!

"I love your temper, and your attitude, and that soft, passionate heart you keep hidden away from plain sight. Separately, together, it doesn't matter - anything at all that you give me, I want, forever."

⚠️ CHECK TW'S BEFORE READING!! This is DARK! ⚠️

Miller has bottled the "IT" factor.

Book Five in the Monsters and Muses series, a interconnected standalone loosely inspired by Psyche and Eros has cinched its place as my favorite book in this series.

Dark, exhilarating, and emotional.

Miller really dug deep and captured so much in this story.

Ariana and Cash are a match made in hellish circumstances.

She's cunning but impulsive.

He is cunning and quiet.

When they come together, there is nothing that these two cannot do.

Cash and Ariana are a match made in heaven. I love how compatible they are and we all love that Ariana is Elena's sister. I wish I had the close knit group that they have I bet BBQ's in the Sav verse are fun!

I didn't think that any of the books in this series would be able to speak more to my soul than they had already. Oh, how wrong I was. Ariana walked right in and snatched it all back into her vengeful little hands. And Cash's unconditional love for her just cemented it right there.

I would have LOVED to see more of their HEA... I loved the story and finished the book just seriously wanting more...
