Kingston and Dani

I LOVE a good hero that is larger than life and has a soft spot for his woman. Kingston is the greatest and cutest teddy bear there is. I just couldn't get enough of him. Dani and Kingston are just absolute goals.

It warmed my heart how dumb these two were.

Ugh, I love you Cassie Mint. This was adorable and so worth my time with the sweet characters and little jokes. Not very steamy but I think it was fitting

that’s it?

I’ve read good, short spicy instalove stories. This one leaves much to be desired. It’s bland and lacks that real instantaneous chemistry aspect. The spice doesn’t even get mild.

❝I picked the wrong girl to practice my husband skills on. Because even though we’re only on our first rehearsal date, it’s clear already: Danielle is my dream woman.❞

This novella had quite a bit story to it, it still moved fast obviously, but I was surprised in a good way. Both Kinston and Danielle secretly were pining for each other and it was just super cute watching him soften a bit. Not much heat but what was there fit the story

This was just super cute. It was just what I needed to read. Dani was a really lovely character, cute but bold. I loved how she handled Kingston and grew in confidence as the book went on. Kingston was such a sweetie, too, in spite of all of his gruffness. The way he wanted to care for her was really adorable.

The chemistry between them was good and the relationship as a whole had a really fun dynamic. There were some really sweet moments as well as really steamy ones. I also found it perfectly paced – the fact they’d known each other a while helped stop it from being sickly sweet with the instalove aspect.

Overall this was just a really fun, cute read and I really enjoyed reading it.

Content Notes: Age gap, boss/employee, workplace, bargains/deals/wagers, mutual pining, size difference.

Stern caretaking boss daddy who buys you safety gear and secretly makes sure you get home in one piece. Short and steamy and made me chuckle a bunch, the heroine and hero interactions were funny and sweet. I couldn't ask for more in a novella.
