Maybe it’s ’cause I’m graduating in like two weeks but this made me cry and I kinda feel like I need to move to New York now??

Emma Lord does such a good job of depicting emotionally intensity of the brink of adulthood and the relationships you couldn't bear if you lost. I always love NYC more through reading her books (even though I've never lived there and don't need to). The friend group in this one was sweet, and I loved the brownie restaurant - would very much like that to exist in real life.

I enjoyed this book a lot! A lot of the feelings that Riley was grappling with resonated with me as a teenager in high school who's not sure what they want to do with their life. Not to mention, the fun and crazy adventures that they had in NYC were super entertaining to read about and made me want to hop on a plane to New York!

Book is ok; overdone epilogue ruins the entire thing.

I don't even know where to begin this book had me in a chokehold with its rollercoaster of emotions. There was friendship, love, grief, a search for your identity, and family issues. I think this is the kind of book that everyone can relate to and find comfort in. I felt the struggle and confusion of trying to find yourself and figure out what's next after you have graduated and try and sift through the issues with your family and learning to do the hard thing of communicating. The characters in the book had so much depth and emotions it was like they are real I was just so immersed in the book and I love reading these type of books that make me forget I am reading and that I never want to stop. The main thing in the book was that it was build onto friendship and isn't that the most beautiful thing of all, there was so much love and friendship and forgiveness and courage and beauty and fun all packed in it was everything I needed. Definitely my new fav romcom and something of a comfort read. Every single character in the book has my heart.
