I was disappointed in this book; it was so hyped up and I just don’t think it attained that level. I don’t think it was a terrible book and I did not expect some of the twists and turns. I just didn’t find it as compelling as similar books.
I also don’t understand why Canadian authors set the story in the US; I think it could have been set in any similar Canadian town.

This narrator did not work for me. I feel like all the funny moments fell flat. I could never tell who was speaking because it was the same voice for every word.

I really wanted to like this book. The synopsis sounded really interesting. It took forever for the plot to get going. No crime or anything happens until well past the half way mark. A lot of the book was redundant. How can it be about a murder mystery when the murder doesnt happen until 2/3rds into the book???? What???
